Hello! I’m Daniel Soromou.
I am Software Engineer at Microsoft. As a Software Engineer at Microsoft, I lead the development of enhanced features for the Microsoft Edge Browser, such as the innovative "Find on Page" function that leverages natural language processing and machine learning techniques. I have a strong background in C++, Python, and JavaScript, and I'm continually exploring the Rust language to broaden my skills and optimize performance.
I am also pursuing a Master of Science in Cybersecurity at New York University's Tandon School of Engineering, with the ultimate goal of becoming a Cybersecurity Research Scientist. I'm passionate about the mathematical principles that underpin robust security systems, and I'm an active participant in CTF competitions online, where I test and improve my hacking skills. Additionally, I am a Co-Founder and CEO of a stealth startup that aims to revolutionize the online education industry with cutting-edge technology and pedagogy.
I am open to collaborations, knowledge-sharing, and networking within software development and cybersecurity. You can find my code challenges on Hackerrank, where I have won multiple prizes and accolades. I also enjoy challenging myself with the most intricate levels of video games in my spare time.
